Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights

On April 16, 2024, SIMS College of Pharmacy hosted a seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), aimed at enhancing students' understanding of the legal frameworks surrounding innovation in pharmaceuticals. Led by Mr. B. Bramhiah, an Associate Professor from Sri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, the session provided valuable insights into the complexities of IPR, emphasizing the importance of protecting intellectual property to foster innovation and investment. Mr. Bramhiah covered various aspects of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, helping attendees grasp the regulatory landscape and the significance of compliance with IPR laws. The seminar enriched students' academic knowledge and equipped them with practical insights essential for their future careers in the pharmaceutical sector.
